Welcome to Grand Parkway Church online. We are so glad you chose to visit our website. Grand Parkway Church is a growing church with a heart for people. At Grand Parkway Church people find warm friendly fellowship, sound Biblical teachings and ministries suited for all ages.

It is our goal to reach the lost, establish strong biblical foundations and to raise up spiritually empowered disciples ready to reach our world for Christ.

We would love for you and your family to come be in servicve with us. A schedule of service times and upcoming events are given to assist you in finding the best time for you and your family. You will find an explanation of each ministry that we offer here at GPC. It is our goal to offer something for everyone that attends, check us out!

History

Grand Parkway Church was founded by Rev. Floyd Sorters in November 1947, formerly known as Pinecrest Assembly of God. The congregation met for sereral years in a small white frame building located on Sorters Road in Porter, Texas. Under their leadership the church grew and was able to build a new building in 1973. The building was only partially completed when Rev. Robert Durham became pastor in February of 1977. As the church grew, the congregation took to the task of finishing and remodeling the sanctuary and classrooms to accommodate the growth.

The church went through four more building phases, remodeling and enlarging the existing facilites as the need arose. With each new phase the church grew in number until we finally outgrew our previous location. Seeing the need to relocate we purchased land on FM 1314. with a new vision of a more functional complex we built the first phase, the Family Life Center, and moved in November of 2002. Since that day we have seen new growth and excitement generated within our people, looking with anticipation to the next phase where our new sanctuary, with more classes and offices to meet our growing needs.

We are going foward in this community and would love for you to come and be a part of us as we let God continue to write our future.

It is our vision at GPC to see those in our church and community brought to greater knowledge of God's word, walking and living in obedience, strong in their belief and faith, and with a sure foundation of who they are in Christ Jesus. We desire to help believers build their personal lives, relationships, marriages, families, finances, and businesses on the solid rock of Gods Word, raising up strong disciples who are ready to face any and all of life's challenges and to win the lost for Christ.
